Abu Dhabi Festival 2025 celebrates Japanese music and culture

Marking more than 50 years of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Japan, the Abu Dhabi Festival 2025 will kick off on February 7, 2025, under the slogan “Abu Dhabi – The World in a City.”

The festival, which will run until April 29, will feature an exceptional evening with the participation of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, led by legendary Japanese maestro Yutaka Sado, and with the participation of world-class tenor Jonathan Titelman and rising pianist Kyohei Sorita, on February 7 and 8. During the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Mahmoud Al Tohamy will host a spiritual evening in which hymns embrace the sky. The festival will continue its journey with a dazzling musical performance by the Japanese Kodo Band, the Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble, and will conclude with a magical performance by the talented pianist Yonchun Lim, who will present Bach’s musical masterpieces “Goldberg.”
