Al Hamriyah Municipality Launches Its First Exhibition

Al Hamriyah Municipality organized its first exhibition, which aims to showcase the services it provides to the community and highlight the municipality's role in enhancing quality of life, consolidating the values ​​of cooperation and community cohesion, and providing quality services to all segments of society.

The exhibition is in line with the Year of the Community and reflects its responsibility on this occasion and its specific agenda of events. Various departments and administrations from Al Hamriyah Municipality participated in the first exhibition, providing visitors with important information about the municipal services it provides to the region and its residents, and introducing them to its various facilities.

During the exhibition, the municipality showcased its various services and initiatives, aligned with the objectives of the Community Year. The Agriculture and Parks Department presented an initiative to implement "Free Home Gardens for the Elderly," supporting senior citizens and instilling values ​​of respect and care.


The initiative also organized the "Young Farmer" workshop, which aims to instill concepts of sustainability and environmental responsibility in younger generations. The Engineering Department focused on improving the urban environment and ensuring community well-being. It showcased its service projects, including the new slaughterhouse and public service facilities. It also launched the "Al-Munir Mosque" workshop, which aims to instill religious values ​​and strengthen national identity among children. This is in line with one of the themes of the Community Year, which is related to enhancing religious and cultural awareness during the holy month.

The Municipal Control and Inspection Department and the City Facilities Management and Outdoor Advertising Department highlighted social responsibility towards the environment through a symposium titled "For the Community." The symposium addressed the importance of environmental conservation and the role of individuals in building a sustainable future, in line with national goals that promote sustainability as a pillar of a future society.


The symposium also highlighted the distinguished service provided by the municipality, the "Floating Swimming Chair," which allows the elderly and people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy swimming, emphasizing the principle of inclusion and equality in community services. In addition, a workshop titled "Ramadan Prayer Box" was presented. The Public Health Department contributed to a theatrical lecture titled "Healthy Eating in Ramadan," a community initiative aimed at promoting health awareness during the holy month of Ramadan.

The department also reviewed its pest and insect control services and achievements, with the aim of preserving the health and safety of community members. Meanwhile, the Municipality's Financial Affairs Department presented a workshop titled "Ramadan Crescent," where children enjoyed decorating the Ramadan crescent. On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Sharjah Ladies Club, Al Hamriyah branch, organized a Ramadan market to support local entrepreneurship and promote a culture of economic empowerment and community participation.


The event also featured folkloric performances from various cultures, emphasizing the values ​​of openness, tolerance, and heritage preservation, which form an integral part of the UAE's national identity.


The exhibition featured numerous entertainment shows, innovative competitions, a Ramadan riddles segment, and interactive games for both adults and children, all aimed at strengthening community bonds and bringing joy and happiness to participants. In addition, there were various corners offering traditional food and sweets, as well as a children's games corner.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, emphasized that organizing the exhibition falls within the framework of engaging with the objectives of the Year of Community, which focuses on empowering individuals, promoting social solidarity, and consolidating national identity and belonging.


He added that through this event, Al Hamriyah Municipality seeks to provide its services in an innovative manner that allows the community to interact directly with it. This strengthens the relationship between the municipality and community members and supports national efforts aimed at building a more sustainable and cohesive environment.


Al Shamsi emphasized that the exhibition reflects the spirit of the community through its initiatives, which focus on effective communication between the municipality and community members. He also emphasized Al Hamriyah Municipality's commitment to contributing to building a cohesive and connected society.


He noted that the exhibition provides an opportunity to familiarize residents with the services provided to them and contributes to enhancing community interaction, supporting the vision aimed at empowering the community and improving quality of life. Al Shamsi concluded: "Organizing the first Al Hamriyah Municipality Exhibition is part of a series of initiatives that the municipality intends to implement in support of the UAE's vision of achieving a cohesive, connected, and sustainable society.
