Arcapita and DSV to build a sustainable modern logistics hub in Jebel Ali

Arcapita Group Holdings Limited (“Arcapita”), a global alternative investment management company, announced today a strategic partnership with DSV, a leading global logistics company, to develop a logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The project spans an area of ​​30,000 square meters and is currently being developed with advanced technical specifications. It opens new horizons for cooperation with a focus on sustainability and innovation.

Amana Group, a leading regional company in the design and construction of industrial and commercial facilities, officially began construction during a special inauguration ceremony.


By employing modular construction techniques and digital design, Amana aims to deliver a high-quality, environmentally friendly facility within 11 months.


Arcapita explained that the logistics center was designed according to the highest international standards based on sustainability and innovation, and includes advanced automation systems, and a certificate of energy efficiency according to the LEED system for leadership in energy and environmental design, as its construction works meet all environmental conservation requirements, with optimal specifications to support key sectors, including healthcare, consumer industries, retail, technology, automotive and industrial derivatives, with a capacity of seventy-five thousand pallets, and a space dedicated to handling hazardous materials, such as lithium batteries, for example, in addition to a huge covered external storage area.


In addition, the logistics center will provide specialized services with the utmost care while handling sensitive and high-value shipments, especially healthcare products and luxury goods.

In this context, Shaikh Issa bin Hussam Al Khalifa, Director of Real Estate Investments at Arcapita Group, stated: “This project represents a response to the evolving needs of the logistics sector, and as one of the largest investors in industrial real estate in the Arabian Gulf region, we are proud to offer innovative facilities specifically designed to meet the growing and complex needs of global supply chains, while maintaining energy efficiency.”

This logistics center represents the second phase of the strategic partnership between Arcapita and DSV, based on strong collaboration and a shared vision for innovation in the logistics sector.


The center is being built within the southern part of the DSV complex in Jebel Ali Free Zone, strengthening DSV’s presence in Dubai, which is an important and essential regional hub for global trade.


Arcapita’s investment in this project in Jebel Ali is part of Arcapita’s comprehensive strategy to grow its real estate investment portfolio across the GCC. Since 2010, Arcapita has built an integrated investment platform comprising more than 30 properties with a total area of ​​3.5 million square feet, leased to more than 80 tenants, including leading global and regional companies.


The value of industrial real estate assets under management today is estimated at more than US$ 1 billion, as Arcapita continues its commitment to expanding its logistics real estate portfolio in the Gulf region to meet the growing demand for industrial real estate.
