Government Games Concludes Third Abu Dhabi Championship

The Abu Dhabi Government Games 2025 Championship concluded. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the tournament celebrated the holy month of Ramadan, strengthening social ties among government employees in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and promoting sports, emphasizing its importance and making it a way of life.

More than 2,000 male and female employees from 45 government entities participated in the tournament, with total prizes exceeding AED 1.3 million.
The award ceremony was held at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, which also hosted the finals of several different tournaments.
The winners were crowned by His Excellency Dr. Yasser Al Naqbi, Director General of the Government Academy; His Excellency Abdullah Ghareeb Al Qamzi, Director General of the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi; His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Acting Assistant Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; and His Excellency Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Sports Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The Abu Dhabi Police team won the sevens football title, and the Abu Dhabi Police team won the beach volleyball title.
The Advanced Technology Research Council team won the men's 3-a-side basketball competition, while the Abu Dhabi Sports Council team also won the men's padel competition.

In badminton, Gautam Gupta from the Department of Municipalities and Transport won the men's title, while the women's title went to Jamila Tulipas from the Advanced Technology Research Council.
Abu Dhabi Police excelled in the cycling race, held on the Al Wathba Cycling Track. Lubna Al Halwani won the women's category, while Jaber Al Mansouri won the men's race.
In the 5km running race held at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Mahra Jassim from Abu Dhabi Police won first place. In the men's 5km race, Saud Al Zaabi dedicated the title to Abu Dhabi Police. In the men's chess competition, Mohammed Al Marzouqi from the Department of Municipalities and Transport won the title, while Emily Noon from the Department of Municipalities and Transport won the women's title.
Humaid Al Suwaidi from the Department of Government Empowerment won the men's table tennis championship. Dr. Huda Al Salmi from the Abu Dhabi City Municipality won the women's championship, while the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense team won the men's shooting championship.
Abu Dhabi Police won the women's shooting and men's and women's fitness competitions.
During the ceremony, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority was awarded the Most Participating Entity Shield, while the Abu Dhabi Police team received the Sports Excellence Shield. The coordinators of the participating entities and the volunteer team who contributed to the organization and success of the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Government Games 2025 were also honored.
