"Health" wins the "Enabling Innovation" award and the "Innovative Institution" certificate within the Global Excellence Awards

The Ministry of Health and Community Protection won the "Enabling Innovation" award and the "Certified Innovative Government Institution" certificate within the Global Excellence Awards in Innovation for the year 2025, in appreciation of its prominent role in supporting and developing innovation in the health sector by launching advanced programs and initiatives that supported many health institutions, along with its partners in the sector.

This achievement by the Ministry adds a new Emirati imprint to the global record of excellence in the field of innovation through the use of innovative tools and methodologies that resulted in transformational projects that brought about a qualitative shift in the quality of health services in the country, which were implemented through the Future Health Innovation Lab.
This prestigious award was granted by the Global Innovation Institute to institutions that distinguished themselves by providing exceptional contributions to enabling innovation in an effective and sustainable manner, and the Ministry succeeded in proving its efficiency through its innovative programs and advanced solutions using the Future Health Innovation Lab.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, stressed that this distinguished achievement embodies the UAE’s vision and efforts towards leadership in innovation, within the framework of the directives and support of the wise leadership and in line with the themes and objectives of the UAE Centennial 2071, explaining that the Ministry places innovation at the forefront of its priorities, and seeks to adopt the latest innovations in the health field, in accordance with the requirements of the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation to enhance the UAE’s position among the world’s innovation pioneers.
Al Olama praised the efforts of the Ministry’s work teams and their role in promoting an institutional environment that supports innovation, research and development, relying on the latest technologies and technological infrastructure, noting the importance of winning the award during the UAE’s celebration of Innovation Month and the passage of 10 years, and the qualitative leaps achieved by the Ministry in innovation.
Saqr Al Humairi, Director of Strategy and Future Department and CEO of Innovation at the Ministry, expressed his pride in winning this award, which is evidence of the success of the Ministry’s strategies in enabling innovation and anticipating the future in the health sector, noting that this achievement is the result of fruitful cooperation between various government agencies and partners in the health sector and represents an incentive to continue providing innovative solutions that support the health and safety of society.
