His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamed attends SXSW in Texas

His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Emirates Media Council, attended the 2025 SXSW South by Southwest conference, hosted by the US state of Texas, from March 7 to 15.

The SXSW conference is one of the most important global events in the technology, entertainment, media, interactive arts, film and music sectors, bringing together experts and innovators from various industries to discuss the latest trends and developments.

The conference is held annually in Austin, Texas, and includes panel discussions, musical performances and film screenings, making it a vital platform for creativity and communication between entrepreneurs and creators around the world.

His Excellency attended a number of sessions that addressed the most prominent technological developments and their impact on the future, including a session that addressed "10 pioneering technologies that will change the world" and reviewed a list of technologies that will bring about a major transformation in the way of life and work in the future in various sectors, such as artificial intelligence, fast-learning robots, clean fuel for aircraft, and effective stem cell treatments.

His Excellency also attended dialogue sessions on digital security and privacy in the digital age, and others that addressed advanced topics in the fields of technology and innovation, the future of artificial intelligence in the creative sector, and the role of emerging technologies in enhancing sustainability, in addition to sessions that focused on digital transformations in the health, media, and education sectors.

His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamed stressed that SXSW and its accompanying events represent a good opportunity to explore the latest global trends in the fields of innovation, technology, and creativity, which provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with participants and institutions from different countries of the world.

On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency toured a number of participating pavilions, starting with a visit to the Museum of the Future pavilion, where he learned about the museum's activities and dialogue sessions that showcase the UAE's vision for the future of the technology, sustainability, culture and other sectors.

His Excellency followed a number of interactive experiences provided by the pavilion, which are based on anticipating opportunities, employing technology and preparing for the future.

His Excellency the Chairman of the National Media Office praised the museum pavilion, which stands out as a creative masterpiece that combines advanced technologies, interactive experiences and future visions, through the dialogues, ideas and inspiring experiences it provides that reflect the thinking and philosophy of our wise leadership, which believes that the future is made today, and embodies its keenness to empower innovative minds, to enhance the UAE's position as a global center for knowledge, sustainability and scientific progress.

During his visit to a number of participating pavilions, His Excellency also learned about the latest innovations, advanced technologies, creative solutions and future projects presented by participating global companies and institutions.
