Hotel revenues worth AED 1.9 billion during the “World’s Coolest Winter”

His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council, confirmed that the fifth edition of the World’s Coolest Winter campaign, under the slogan “Green Tourism”, succeeded in creating new paths that enhanced tourism diversity by promoting tourist and natural destinations and experiences in all the Emirates of the country, through its contribution to highlighting the environmental tourist attractions, green areas and winter experiences that distinguish the UAE, as well as farm tourism, natural reserves and charming and picturesque views, and supported meeting the various trends of local and international visitors, and at the same time worked to enhance the country’s attractiveness for tourism investments in new qualitative projects, in line with the goals of the “National Tourism Strategy 2031”.
He added that the fifth edition of the World's Coolest Winter campaign succeeded in achieving positive results in the seven emirates of the country, as the revenues of hotel establishments in the country during this edition reached nearly 1.9 billion dirhams, an increase of 86.9% over the fourth edition, and the total number of guests of hotel establishments in the country reached more than 4.4 million guests, an increase of 62% compared to the fourth edition of the campaign, as well as an increase in the hotel occupancy rate of 74%.

He said that the fifth edition of the World's Coolest Winter campaign was able to reach 224.7 million people around the world, bringing the total number of people reached during its five editions to more than 1.2 billion, which contributes to consolidating the positive mental image of the UAE as a leading global tourist destination, and enhancing the efforts of cooperation between the various concerned tourism authorities and bodies in the country to focus on tourism experiences, patterns and projects that double the richness of the tourism sector in the various emirates of the country, and the competitiveness of attractive destinations in each emirate, which works to build stronger pillars and foundations for the sustainability of the national tourism sector, and presents a unique model that enhances the UAE's unified tourism identity at the global level.
The fifth edition of the "World's Coolest Winter" campaign aimed to promote the wide diversity and great components of green tourism in the various emirates and regions of the country, and the competitiveness and attractiveness of natural, environmental and agricultural destinations, which supports tourism attraction and activity at the local level among citizens and residents in the UAE, and enhances the continuous growth in the number of tourists coming from all countries of the world.
The Ministry of Economy announced today the conclusion of the fifth edition of the “The Most Beautiful Winter in the World” campaign, which was launched on December 16 and lasted for 6 weeks under the slogan “Green Tourism”, in cooperation with the National Agricultural Center and local tourism authorities in the country.
