Meraas awards $272.2m Dubai project construction contract

Meraas, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding Properties, has announced the award of a contract worth more than AED1 billion ($272.2 million) to build the Bluewaters Bay project in Dubai.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the contract was awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC Middle East).

The project consists of two residential towers connected by a dynamic podium structure, and includes 678 apartments, in addition to retail outlets, restaurants and cafes on the podium level.

The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027.
