New Park on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street in Abu Dhabi

The Department of Municipalities and Transport, through the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, is implementing a new park in the area adjacent to Al Mushrif Mall on Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street, with construction work expected to be completed on March 31.

The project comes within the framework of the Department of Municipalities and Transport's directives to enhance and improve the lifestyle, and to provide the community with the best places to practice activities and enjoy nature.
Public parks and residential play areas meet the different needs of children, and provide them with experiences of entertainment, play and acquiring various skills in a safe environment that conforms to the highest international standards.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport is implementing recreational projects within the framework of the founding strategy for living, which includes a number of projects related to providing infrastructure facilities, such as pedestrian and bicycle paths, beautification works, and community facilities, such as sports fields and mosques, in line with the vision and priority of the Abu Dhabi government in building and providing an integrated and sustainable community environment that ensures the stability and cohesion of the emirate's community.
While the Department of Municipalities and Transport seeks to provide recreational spaces for families and children, to enhance the quality of life of the area's residents, and to make parks qualified from a sports and social perspective.
It has strived to complete the development project of the median strip along Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street in Abu Dhabi, with a length of 1.7 kilometers, aiming to enhance the city's aesthetics and improve the infrastructure using the latest sustainable technologies.

This project comes within the framework of Abu Dhabi City Municipality's commitment to applying the best international practices aimed at developing the infrastructure and improving the urban appearance, in line with environmental sustainability standards. The project included innovative beautification works using modern "fixed sand" technology over an area of 6,500 square meters, which contributed to enhancing the general appearance of the road and ensuring its sustainability.
A new irrigation network was also installed to support efficient water consumption, in line with the standards of rationalizing consumption and preserving water resources. The project included planting seasonal flowers to add a lively aesthetic touch to the median strip and the surrounding road network.
