This rare egg has caught the attention of collectors around the world, due to its flawless shape and unique composition. At a public auction held in the United Kingdom, a perfectly spherical egg was sold, classified as an extremely rare find, as round eggs are believed to occur once in a billion.

This egg is perfectly spherical, an unusual shape for an egg. It was bought by a woman who found it in a box at a local store in Ayr, Scotland. It was later bought by a local resident in the United Kingdom, Ed Pownill from Lambourn, Berkshire in southeast England, for £150, or about $200.
