Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman in the health field

Her Excellency Dr. Jalila bint Al-Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, stressed the depth of the distinguished and historical fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the sisterly Sultanate of Oman in various fields, especially in the health field.

This came on the occasion of signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the health field between the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Ministry of Health in the sisterly Sultanate of Oman within the framework of the state visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, to the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, in response to the kind invitation of his brother His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, may God protect and preserve him. It was signed on the Bahraini side by His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and on the Omani side by His Excellency Badr Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister of Health added that the memorandum of understanding signed between the two brotherly countries comes in recognition of the importance of developing prospects for joint cooperation, and pushing towards benefiting from capabilities and exchanging expertise in the field of health systems and providing health and treatment services in primary and secondary care, in addition to encouraging cooperation between the two countries in the fields of public health, joint research and development, continuing medical education, and organizing visits between experts and specialists in various specialties.
The Minister of Health pointed out that concluding the memorandum of cooperation in the health field reflects the common interest in enhancing health and health care provided to individuals and achieving the desired aspirations in the health field between the two brotherly countries.
