The fifth edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament kicks off in Ramadan

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Human Resources Department of the Ajman Government, in cooperation with the Quattro Sports Center, is organizing the fifth edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament, which includes 12 diverse programs of competitive and recreational tournaments for all segments of society during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ahmed Al Raisi, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Tournament, said in a press conference that its fifth edition witnesses a diversity of events and programs that suit different segments of society; as it includes 12 sports events with 9 competitive tournaments and 3 community and humanitarian events.

He added that the tournament includes in this edition football tournaments, beach volleyball, padel tennis, shooting tournament, bicycle race, men's running race, folk games tournament, crossfit tournament, and challenge games, in addition to 3 events represented by the Ramadan Village, the women's fitness program, and Zayed Humanitarian Work Day.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Ajman Government Media Office, explained that the Ajman Vision 2030 is keen to focus on community cultural and sports events and involve all members of society, including citizens, residents and people of determination, in such events and to exploit the holy month to organize sports events targeting thousands of participants in group and individual sports, as well as women's sports.

The tournament director, Mr. Abdulaziz Abdullah, presented a comprehensive explanation of the requirements for participation in the tournament, the special arrangements for the events, the details of the organization, and the systems and regulations, noting that "the Supreme Organizing Committee has placed a special committee at the head of each event for coordination and follow-up."

Khalifa Sultan Hareb, General Manager of Al Rasikhon Real Estate, the diamond sponsor of the tournament, expressed his happiness to participate in sponsoring the third edition of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament, saying: “Social responsibility requires us to be present and participate in sponsoring such an important event during the holy month, especially since the Ajman Sports Tournament is witnessing a clear development year after year.

Personally, I do not hide my admiration for the distinctive arrangements for the third edition and the addition of more events, which contributes to the participation of all segments of society and enriches the Ramadan Sports Tournament.”
