The UAE government launches a new phase of government modernization with a number of countries

The UAE government launched a new phase of government modernization with a number of partner countries in the government knowledge exchange program in the continents of South America, Africa and Asia. The list of countries with which government modernization partnerships have been extended includes Colombia, Seychelles and the Maldives.

The agreements were signed by His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, from the UAE government, and by Her Excellency Devika Vidutt, Minister of Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry in the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Abdullah Fayyadh, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office in the Maldives, and Her Excellency Laura Camila Sarabia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, as part of the activities of the World Government Summit 2025.


The UAE Government Knowledge Exchange Program represents a global platform for partnerships focused on creating a better future for humanity, stemming from the vision and mission of the UAE to enhance international cooperation and expand its scope to focus on developing and advancing countries and societies and empowering them with innovative solutions and tools.

Abdullah Lootah stressed the keenness of the wise leadership in the UAE to expand the areas of knowledge exchange and share its pioneering experiences and expertise with various governments and countries, to enhance its readiness for the future on sustainable foundations by benefiting from the pioneering and exceptional experiences of the UAE in government development aimed at improving the lives of society.


The strategic partnership signed between the governments of the UAE and Colombia focuses on exchanging experiences and sharing knowledge in several areas, most notably government services, activating the national agenda, building government capabilities, artificial intelligence, sharing best practices, and educational programs.

The partnership with the government of Seychelles aims to enhance cooperation and exchange of expertise in the field of government modernization within several areas, most notably government services, government accelerators, programming, statistics and competitiveness, smart services, government performance, innovation and excellence, building leadership capabilities, strategy, planning and strategy management.


The strategic partnership signed between the governments of the UAE and the Maldives focuses on exchanging expertise and best practices in the field of capacity building for digital government, digital economy, artificial intelligence, innovation, education, programming, business incubators, tourism, and culture.
