The UAE has successfully participated in the World Economic Forum Davos 2025..

The UAE concluded its successful participation in the 55th session of the World Economic Forum 2025 meetings in Davos, Switzerland, which was held during the period from 20 to 24 January. It is a global platform that annually brings together more than 3,000 leaders, decision-makers and dignitaries from the public and private sectors from around the world.

The UAE delegation, headed by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), which is one of the largest international delegations participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos 2025, participated in discussing many global challenges and variables, reviewing solutions and developments, and building partnerships in various economic and development sectors, as part of the forum’s activities, whose outputs, dialogues and fruitful partnerships contribute to supporting sustainable development and formulating the most effective solutions to the most prominent challenges facing development efforts at the international level.

The UAE’s participation in the forum, which was held under the theme “Cooperation for a Smart Age,” supported its goals and agenda, as the country’s participation in the World Economic Forum this year focused on enriching many discussions that were given priority in its latest agenda, including bridging the gaps that hinder global development efforts, promoting sustainable growth, and harnessing advanced technology to create transformative solutions that support development.

The UAE delegation participating in the forum included more than 100 business leaders, private sector leaders, and government officials, which represented a continuation of the UAE’s interest in international cooperation and building international partnerships that support all development efforts at the regional and international levels in all sectors, especially through the World Economic Forum platform.

During the forum, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Prize laureate and interim Prime Minister of Bangladesh; Pitongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, the first woman to hold this position in her country; Hilda Schwab, Co-Founder and Chair of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship; and many leading figures and a group of prominent officials and inspiring leaders.

The UAE government and the World Economic Forum signed a memorandum of understanding to establish and launch the Global Platform for Legislative Innovation (GRIP), to develop and launch the Future Readiness Index for Legislation, launch the Global Guide for Legislative Innovation, establish an international network of experts, policymakers and legislators, build the capacity of legislators, create a global legislative knowledge platform, and organize legislative innovation dialogues and the Global Legislative Forum, in a way that enhances the country's position as a global hub for attracting international organizations, companies and business institutions that aspire to conduct their business in a flexible and supportive legislative environment, and a knowledge center and platform for exchanging expertise and experiences in the latest areas related to legislation.

During the 55th session of the forum, the UAE government signed a partnership agreement with the World Economic Forum to support the adoption of various future technologies locally and globally through the UAE Fourth Industrial Revolution Centre, which is supervised by the Dubai Future Foundation. Under this agreement, the UAE Fourth Industrial Revolution Centre will continue its role in activating international cooperation, exchanging expertise, supporting creative ideas, and enabling emerging technologies, thus enhancing the UAE’s position as a leading global centre for accelerating Fourth Industrial Revolution innovations and applications and developing future technologies.

The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi signed a letter of intent with the World Economic Forum, with the aim of working to enhance smart health systems globally through the forum’s Digital Transformation in Healthcare initiative.


The initiative is a pioneering project that seeks to reimagine the concept of digital health systems to achieve the highest levels of efficiency, provide the best health services to members of society, enhance healthcare outcomes, and improve quality of life, as the initiative relies on partnerships between the public and private sectors to drive digital technology, data, and artificial intelligence in the field of health.

By joining a network of leading institutions responsible for accelerating the digital transformation in healthcare globally and activating its objectives, the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi contributes to achieving fundamental changes in global health systems in coordination with local health strategies.
