The UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 kicks off amidst an enthusiastic and popular atmosphere

In the presence of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the competitions of the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025, organized by the Ministry of Interior and hosted by the Dubai Police General Command, kicked off at the training city in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.

This was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan, Deputy Chief of Police and Security in Dubai, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, a number of officers, representatives of diplomatic and consular bodies, and leaders of tactical teams from around the world.

His Highness was briefed on the second day dedicated to the “Tactical Operations” competition, which is one of 5 challenges that started on Saturday, early this week.

His Highness was also briefed on the high capabilities of the elements participating in the UAE SWAT Challenge competitions, and the levels of professionalism and specialized training that these teams and special units have reached to compete and overcome various challenges.

His Highness met with the leaders of the tactical teams participating in the challenge, and praised the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge, which is the largest in terms of the number of participating teams, reaching 105 teams from 46 countries from around the world, and witnessed an increase in the level of competition by all teams.

For his part, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri thanked Lieutenant General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for the great support to all police leaders across the country and their special units that participated in the UAE SWAT Challenge, and demonstrated advanced levels of professionalism, competitiveness and readiness.

His Excellency said that the follow-up of Lieutenant General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to the SWAT Championship contributed to its development year after year since its launch in 2019, until it reached the sixth edition this year, which was crowned with the largest number of participating teams from different countries around the world.

He noted that the participation from different countries of the world raised the level of competitiveness of the tactical teams, in addition to enhancing the goal of the challenge, which is to ensure the efficiency of security agencies in their various specializations, including the work of special units and their degree of readiness to face challenges and risks.

The Kazakhstan teams participating in the UAE Tactical Teams Challenge, hosted by the Al Ruwayyah Training City in Dubai, were crowned with two gold medals in the competitions of the first and second days in the "Attack" challenge and the "Tactical Operations" challenge.

The leaders of the regional and international teams participating in the UAE Tactical Teams Challenge 2025, held in its sixth edition this year, expressed their admiration for the level of organization and competitions, and the global nature of the challenge that brings together more than 100 teams from different countries of the world, competing in 5 tactical competitions over 5 consecutive days at the training city field in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai, to win the challenge title.

It brings together teams from elite special forces and police and security agencies from different countries, challenging each other in realistic scenarios that test their combat and strategic skills and their ability to perform and work under pressure.

The Bahrain Defence Force is participating with two teams this year, A and B. Major Mubarak Al Sulaiti, Team B Commander, explained that they are participating in the challenge for the third time this year, stressing that they are happy with the annual participation and the level of competition that increases in intensity every year.

Five women's teams are participating, which reflects the keenness of police leaders from different countries of the world to have their female members participate in this global event.
