100 Horses Compete in the 10th Race Abu Dhabi Races

The Dubai Racing Carnival this season was characterized by the utmost excitement in 8 rounds included in the ceremony held at the Meydan International Racecourse, with the participation of 90 horses from the elite local and international horses, competing for a total prize money of AED 2,905,000 sponsored by Emaar and organized by the Dubai Racing Club.

In the most prominent championships, the sixth round witnessed the "Dubai Millennium Stakes" Championship for the third category for a distance of 2000 meters on the grass track, with a total prize money of AED 700,000. The race had an exciting competitive nature between 9 horses, to win the largest share of the round prize, but good luck smiled on "First Conquest" with the Godolphin logo, led by William Buick and supervised by Charlie Appleby, and achieved its victory in a time of 2:00:69 minutes and a difference of 1.3 lengths from "Cairo" for Rafaei Al-Ghariban, led by Silvestre de Sousa and supervised by Alessi Hainsey.
The ceremony opened with the 1400m The Oasis by Emaar handicap race on the sand track, with a total prize money of AED 165,000, and the title went to “Smart System” Semen Boyarov, supervised by Ali Al Badawi and led by Bernardo Pinheiro.

The victory in the “Mog Stakes” race for fillies in the second round over a distance of 1400 metres went to “Mount Breeze” for Godolphin, supervised by Charlie Appleby and led by William Buick, and the victory in the third round “The Valley by Emaar” over a distance of 1900 metres, designated for horses that have not achieved two wins, was won by “Handicap” for “Undefeated” for Saeed Suhail, supervised by Bobat Seemar and led by Taj O’Shea.
The fourth round, the Dubai Sprint, over a distance of 1200 metres, was contested by 10 horses, the most prominent of which was Godolphin’s Romantic Style, supervised by Charlie Appleby and ridden by William Buick, who won in a time of 1:08:71 minutes, 2.43 minutes ahead of Rashid Al Shehhi and Tawfiq Mohammed’s Hasem, supervised by Musabah Al Muhairi and ridden by Daniel Tudhope.

The fifth round, Dubai Creek, over a distance of 1400 metres, “equal” on the sand track, was won by the horse “Khanjar”, under the logo of Shadwell, supervised by trainer Musabah Al Muhairi and ridden by jockey Jim Croaly, in a time of 1:24:57 minutes, and 2.1 lengths ahead of Street and Level.
In the seventh round, “Emaar Al Janoub”, over a distance of 2200 metres, 10 horses that had never won twice participated, and “Grace and Glory” for Fatriani Hay, supervised by Bobat Seemar and led by Taj O’Shea, won. The ceremony concluded with a preparatory race for the Jumeirah Guineas in the eighth round over a distance of 1600 metres, where “Halasan” supervised by Charlie Appleby and led by Richard Mullen came in second, followed by “Al Qudra” supervised by Charlie Appleby and led by William Buick, and the champion achieved his victory in a time of 1:36:30 minutes and by a difference of 1.04 lengths, to give Godolphin its fourth victory in the ceremony.
