Apple today released the first beta of iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 for developers to test, about a month after releasing iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3.
Developers can download the new beta through the “Settings” app on compatible devices, then go to “General”, then “Software Update”.

The iOS 18.4 update comes with a dedicated app for Apple Vision Pro glasses, which appears automatically on iPhones linked to an Apple account if the user owns the glasses, and the app can be downloaded manually from the App Store for those who do not own them.
The app aims to help users discover content, learn about the features of the new Vision Pro glasses, in addition to providing tools to add content to the Apple TV app for later viewing, downloading apps remotely, and viewing device information, such as the serial number, under the “My Vision Pro” section.
The app includes a “Discover” page that provides curated recommendations for how to use Vision Pro, where users can browse popular apps and games, more than 300 3D movies, immersive videos from Apple, panoramic photos, and manage Vision Pro’s guest mode directly from their iPhone.
It was expected that the iOS 18.4 update would provide new improvements to Apple’s smart assistant Siri within the framework of Apple Intelligence, but some features may be delayed due to engineering issues and software bugs.
Apple is working to enhance “Siri” with capabilities such as personal context awareness, intelligent interaction between applications, in addition to expanding Apple Intelligence support for additional languages in the upcoming update.
The iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 updates are expected to be officially launched next April, after the current beta period is completed.
