Crowning the winners of the closing Al Dhafra Festival beauty contest in "Abu Dhabi"

The camel beauty contest competitions continued in the final stage of the 18th Al Dhafra Festival, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and continues until January 30.

The 18th Al Dhafra Festival crowned the winners of the camel beauty contest rounds this evening, amidst wide participation from camel owners from the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The competitions took place today in 6 rounds for the age of the purebred camels of the tribes (3, 4 and 5) of local and Majahim camels, and 60 prizes were allocated for them, worth one million and 326 thousand dirhams, and witnessed the participation of 306 camels.

His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, crowned the winners of the “Al Dhafra Shalla” competition, which was held at the Makashat Al Dhafra Camp as part of the closing activities of the 18th edition of the Al Dhafra Festival, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and continues until January 30.

The crowning ceremony was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Mubarak Al Muhairi, Acting Director General of the Authority, members of the competition committee, and a number of lovers of performing arts and authentic Emirati heritage.

The guest of honor, Khamis Mohammed Al Shadi Al Mansouri, and Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Acting Executive Director of the Festivals and Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, crowned the winners of the first places, amidst a large attendance of camel owners, heritage beauty contest lovers, and festival visitors.

This morning, the camels participating in the Sharaya Singles Rounds for the sons of the tribes (1 and 2) for the local and Mujahim categories, and the Purebred Singles Round, entered the overnight pens in preparation for presenting them to the specialized committees, and their results will be announced tomorrow afternoon, Monday.
