His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed crowns winners of camel beauty contest at Al Dhafra Festival

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, crowned the winners of Al Dhafra Round (20) in the local and majahim categories, as part of the camel beauty contests at the 18th edition of Al Dhafra Festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority in Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra Region.

The results showed that Sheikh Khalifa bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan won first place in Al Dhafra Round (20) for locals, and Sari Balush Barak Al Mazrouei won first place in Al Dhafra Round (20) for majahim.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the interest and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him", for heritage events, following the approach of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless his soul, in promoting national heritage and the values ​​of national identity.

He pointed out that heritage festivals contribute to strengthening the relationship between generations and their heritage, support the preservation of heritage, preserve authentic customs and traditions, and introduce the civilized aspects of the Emirati people.

His Highness added that the Al Dhafra Festival and festivals and events concerned with heritage contribute to achieving one aspect of the vision of the "Year of Community" in the UAE, through their role in strengthening ties between generations and providing a supportive environment for the values ​​of cooperation, tolerance and belonging,

stressing that the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, of 2025 as the "Year of Community" reflects the commitment of the wise leadership to strengthening family and community ties towards building a cohesive and prosperous society in which everyone contributes to achieving joint progress.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the winners of the beauty contest, wishing them success, and praised the role played by the festival in promoting heritage and preserving purebred camel breeds.

He said: "The festival represents a meeting place for the people of the Emirates and the Gulf States," praising their participation in the festival and their keenness to pass on the camel heritage to their children and grandchildren.

His Highness thanked the organizing committee of the Dhafra Festival, partners, supporters, judging committees and working committees for their efforts to ensure that the festival comes out in the required manner in order to achieve all its goals, praising their work in preparing the reasons for its success, which contributed to the great turnout witnessed by the event from participants and visitors.

The coronation ceremony was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, Mr. Hamad bin Jaber Al Athba, Chairman of the Qatar Camel Beauty Contest Club, and a number of officials, dignitaries of the Al Dhafra Region and major camel owners.
