Oman, Qatar, Iraq and Bahrain qualify for the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup for Veterans

The Omani national team qualified for the semi-finals of the Gulf Cup for Veterans after defeating our national team 1-0 this evening at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium in the third round of the preliminary round in the group stage in Group One in the tournament hosted by Kuwait and concluded next Wednesday.

The Omani national team raised its score to 5 points, while our national team's score froze at 2 points and left the tournament.


The only winning goal in the match came from player Ismail Al-Ajmi "Q19", while the offensive attempts of our national team players did not result in returning the match to the starting point.

The Qatari national team qualified for the semi-finals despite its goalless draw with its Kuwaiti counterpart, due to goal difference after the two teams tied with 3 points each.


The second group witnessed the Iraqi national team's victory over its Saudi counterpart 1-0 via a penalty kick executed by player Mustafa Karim "34th minute", raising its score to 7 points, the leader of the second group, to face the second team of the first group tomorrow in the semi-finals.

The Bahraini national team booked its place in the semi-finals after defeating its Yemeni counterpart 1-0, scored by player Talal Yousef "27th minute", raising its score to 5 points.

The two semi-final matches will be held tomorrow at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, and the Omani national team, the leader of the first group, will meet its Bahraini counterpart, the second in the second group, while the Iraqi national team, the leader of the second group, will face its Qatari counterpart, the second in the first group.
