Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition 2025 kicks off

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, inaugurated today the activities of the 12th edition of Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition 2025.

His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Minister of Municipality, stressed that holding the exhibition reflects the State of Qatar's commitment to promoting innovation and sustainable development in the agricultural sector, as one of the main pillars of comprehensive development in the country.

He expressed his happiness to welcome the sisterly United Arab Emirates as a guest of honor at Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition 2025. He pointed out that its participation comes as an affirmation of the historical ties that unite the two countries and brotherly peoples, and to enhance joint cooperation in various fields, especially in the agricultural field.

He noted that this year's edition of the exhibition holds special importance, as it comes in the wake of the launch of the National Food Security Strategy 2030. This strategy represents a roadmap to enhance food security as a fundamental pillar for achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.

He explained that the Ministry of Municipality is committed, within the framework of the strategy, to developing an integrated agricultural system that ensures meeting our food needs through a number of means, including: increasing local production, supporting farmers, strengthening international partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions to improve productivity and reduce food waste.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ambassadors accredited to the State of Qatar, a number of senior officials from government institutions and agencies in the country, and a number of officials from regional and international agricultural organizations.
