Saudi Crown Prince Discusses Cooperation with International Olympic Committee

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, discussed with Mr. Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, enhancing the development and prosperity of the Olympic Games in the Kingdom and the world.

The Kingdom is preparing to host a new global event, the "Olympic Games", after winning the bid to host the 2034 World Cup
During the meeting, which was held at Al-Yamamah Palace in the capital, Riyadh, the two sides reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and the International Olympic Committee, which would enhance the development and prosperity of the Olympic Games in the Kingdom and around the world.
The meeting was attended from the Saudi side by the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, the Advisor to the Royal Court, Fahd Tounsi, the Governor of the Public Investment Fund, Yasir Al-Rumayan, as well as the Senior Advisor to the President of the International Olympic Committee, Pere Miro, and a number of other officials from both sides.
This is the fourth visit of the President of the International Olympic Committee to the Kingdom since his election as President of the Committee in 2013, which reflects the extent of mutual interest between the Kingdom and the Committee to enhance joint cooperation in the sports field.
