Today, the new city of El Alamein witnessed the launch of the first camel race within the activities of the 2025 season, amid an enthusiastic atmosphere and wide participation of camels and racers from various governorates of Egypt.

This event came to confirm the importance of camel sports as part of the ancient Arab heritage, and to highlight it in the Egyptian and international sports arena.
The competitions began early in the morning at the camel racing field, which was equipped with the latest technologies to host this event, and more than 500 racers participated in the race, representing all governorates of Egypt.
The events include 32 rounds during which camels competed to achieve first place amidst the cheers of the crowds.

The race witnessed a wide presence, led by representatives of the Egyptian Camel Federation, the UAE Camel Racing Federation, in addition to prominent figures from Arab tribes.
In his speech during the opening, Eid Hamdan, President of the Egyptian Camel Federation, stressed that the race comes within the framework of an ambitious plan to develop camel racing in Egypt, noting that the El Alamein Racecourse is a major station for this sport.

The race is an opportunity to introduce the public to this sport that has spanned generations, and to promote tourism in the new city of El Alamein, which has become a destination for major events.
It continues for two days with wide participation from camel owners from various governorates of Egypt.
The race is held at the camel racing field in Sidi Abdel Rahman village on the North Coast, organized by the Egyptian Camel Federation and supported by the UAE Camel Racing Federation, as part of a series of activation races for the new season.
