Shabab Al Ahli defeats Sharjah in first leg of ADIB Cup semi-final

Shabab Al Ahli defeated Sharjah 3-1 at Sharjah Stadium on Tuesday in the first leg of the ADIB Cup semi-final.

Renan (two goals) and Matheusau scored for Shabab Al Ahli in the 11th, 22nd, and 45+3rd minutes, while Ousmane Camara scored for Sharjah in the 40th minute.

The two teams will meet again next week at Rashid Stadium to decide which team will advance to the final.

The two teams met this month in the first and second legs of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals, with Sharjah securing their place. They will now meet again in the first and second legs of the ADIB Cup semi-finals, and then in Round 19 of the ADNOC Professional League.

In total, Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli have met in nine previous matches in the ADIB Cup. Sharjah has won one match, Shabab Al Ahli has won three, and five have ended in draws.
