The races are scheduled to be held at the camel track in Sharm El-Sheikh on the 14th and 15th of this month, with the participation of 6 Arab countries: Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, in addition to the participation of 7 Egyptian governorates.

This festival is held within the framework of the "Camel Festival", celebrating the anniversary of the opening of the camel track in Sharm El-Sheikh, where the track was officially opened in one of the major events that witnessed the attendance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

This anniversary is an annual occasion to revive heritage and promote camel sports, which enjoy great interest from various Arab countries, as the President's opening of the track was a signal for the launch of this sport globally on the land of Egypt.

The governor stressed his keenness to continue camel racing in the city of peace, due to its positive impact on stimulating tourism, especially for fans of this sport around the world. He added that these activities are not limited to strengthening the cultural and heritage identity, but also contribute to supporting the local economy by providing direct and indirect job opportunities for the governorate’s residents, especially those interested in this sport.
