Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research, confirmed: "We are lucky that the forum is being held shortly after a tweet by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, announcing 2025 as the Year of Society, and following His Highness's directives to come up with creative national ideas that will have a real impact on our society."


Dr. Al Nuaimi stressed in his opening speech: The annual "Emirati Thinkers" Forum lays solid foundations for building a national platform that brings together Emirati expertise and competencies in various fields. The Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research said: "We are proud today that the (Emirati Thinkers) platform has become a home for thought and creativity، It includes more than (200) Emirati thinkers, including 35 young men and women who are tomorrow's thinkers."

The forum's activities discussed three main topics:


The most important of which are: "The UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031.. The Future of the Transport Sector". A session on "Emirati Identity: National and Global Balance". The activities included a session on "Society Aging", and a session on "Skills Revolution in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Empowering National Cadres and Society for the Future".


The second edition of the "Emirati Thinkers" forum began its activities with a session in which His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, participated, and was moderated by economic expert Nasser Al Sheikh.


His Excellency Suhail Al Mazrouei stressed that the UAE has become a major destination for global companies in the field of renewable energy, as it has succeeded in attracting the most prominent international companies, and this journey began 17 years ago with the idea of ​​establishing "Masdar" to achieve the vision of building the first sustainable city in the world. His Excellency added: "Today, the wise future vision of the leadership is renewed with developments in artificial intelligence, and investing its technologies in various fields, especially the field of transportation."

The forum witnessed a session entitled “National Identity: National and Global Balance” in which His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council participated. The session, which was moderated by Dr. Sultan Al Nuaimi, during which His Excellency Dhahi Khalfan stressed that identity is a language derived from the pronoun “he” or the essence of a thing, its being and what distinguishes it from others.


He pointed out that the UAE has succeeded in achieving a unique balance between national values ​​and authentic traditions, and openness to the world, stressing that the Emirati national identity is the fingerprint of Sheikh Zayed, and is embodied in my being Emirati, Gulf, Arab and Muslim.

Tamim stressed the importance of the family in strengthening national identity and instilling values ​​by teaching children to love the homeland, respect its symbols, and dedicate themselves to serving it, and transmitting cultural customs and traditions from one generation to the next, which consolidates national identity. His Excellency stressed the importance of national service in strengthening national values.


The forum included a session titled “Society Aging: Where Are We Now?” in which His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, participated, and was moderated by Dr. Arif Al Hammadi, a member of the “Emirati Thinkers”.

His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili pointed out that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, pays special attention to learning about the views of social seminars, and has dedicated part of the “Barza” on Tuesday, which he has always been keen on, to communicate with community leaders and individuals, and to listen personally to the problems they face, and seek to solve them, including the problem of low fertility rates.


The forum dedicated a main session entitled "Skills Revolution in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Empowering National Cadres and Society for the Future", in which Dr. Essa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, Dr. Ebtesam Al Mazrouei, CEO and Founder of A1E3, Chair of the United Nations Initiative "Artificial Intelligence for Public Good", and Professor Dr. Fadi Aloul, Dean of the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah participated. It was moderated by Dr. Abdul Latif Al Shamsi, Academic Advisor at the Office of Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi.

The participants in the session reached conclusions, including: Artificial intelligence has become a common course for all scientific disciplines, and it now provides opportunities to activate the skills economy in the sense of increasing production at a lower cost. Therefore, it is necessary to train students on command engineering to maximize the benefit from artificial intelligence, launch programs to gain experience from abroad, and conclude partnerships for cooperation between international organizations and educational institutions to raise a generation of young people aware of using artificial intelligence responsibly, by emphasizing the ethics of artificial intelligence and preventing its misuse, and ensuring the development of legislation related to the technical boom to avoid bias, because the programmer is the one who controls artificial intelligence technologies.


The forum was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Emirates Media Council.
