Memorandum of Understanding between <<Sandoq Al Watan>> and "Mohammed bin Zayed for Humanities"

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandoq Al Watan, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities and Sandoq Al Watan, as part of the two parties' keenness to achieve fruitful cooperation in scientific, research and development fields of common interest, and in an effort to develop and support frameworks of understanding through the exchange of expertise to contribute to community development, humanitarian, social, cultural and sports fields, employment, encouraging creativity and innovation, enhancing national identity, community innovation, and other fields that it sees as in the interest of society.

The memorandum focused on strengthening the partnership and cooperation between Sandoq Al Watan and Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, on several activities in areas of common interests.

The memorandum paves the way for joint work in organizing and holding courses, programs and activities related to the fields of work of the second party, which are national identity, employment and entrepreneurship, in addition to creativity and innovation.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of the university by Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, President of the University, and on behalf of the Fund, Yasser Al Gergawi, Director General of the Fund.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan stressed that the strategic goal of the National Fund is to enhance our national identity under the slogan “A strong and sustainable national identity...its pillars are empowerment, productivity and responsibility” which is the most important driver for all the Fund’s activities and initiatives, and it is also the main driver towards forming strategic companies and concluding cooperation agreements with various entities that complement the Fund in the same goals, stressing that the memorandum of understanding signed between the National Fund and the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities is a living embodiment of the joint work between the two parties in many fields during the previous stage, and a motive towards further cooperation to achieve our lofty goals.

Explaining that the cooperation with the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, with its important academic and humanitarian role, clearly focuses on achieving the strategic objectives of the Fund and the University together, which are in line with the vision of our wise government and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, stressing that the cooperation also focuses on developing the initiatives of the National Fund and benefiting from the capabilities of the University in training through cooperation in designing training programs that focus on enhancing national skills and capabilities. For his part, Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, President of the University, stressed that this memorandum enhances the areas of cooperation between the two parties to spread the culture of creativity and innovation and enhance the national identity, following the initiatives of the wise leadership that pays great attention to this aspect, and always seeks to enhance the authentic Emirati values ​​and consolidate their foundations in society.
